Core Values
APFTI’s core values are captured by the mnemonic P-RAISE. This could mean raising profits, raising people (uplifting their lives) and praising the Lord.

Gender Policy
APFTI believes that gender fairness is good for business. We therefore adhere closely to the Gender Equity fair trade standard. In the elaboration of APFTI's mission, two statements deal with gender: - To actively work for the mainstreaming of gender in APFTI's organisation, culture, programs and projects; and
- To strengthen APFTI as an effective, efficient, and gender-fair machinery in the face of the growing threats to rural communities, increasing pace and scale of unsustainable development, expanded areas of work, and the need to attain greater self-reliance.
